OK so what is the difference between Trials and Enduro? Apart from the very different bikes that we use, trials is generally at a slower pace and concentrates on manoeuvring around and over tight spaces and obstacles! Trials is the art of balance! It is great fun to try and even if you just want a one off experience day, you will not be disappointed! Perfect for mixed ability groups such as hen/stag and corporate days/weekends as well, as the bikes are suited to all levels of ability.

Our Trials schools run on 200 acres of valleys, lakes and woodland in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The farm is in Leek, which is a nice central location and surrounded by views of the Staffordshire Peak District. The land itself has some purpose built sections and plenty of natural terrain to have a go at throughout the day. You will be led by our resident instructor, Stuart Day who will make you feel at ease as soon as you arrive. Stuart runs a working farm here too and so if you are lucky you may get to try his now famous, seriously fresh milkshakes at the end of a hard days riding in the valleys!

We run small groups of 4 per event and so there will be plenty of focus individual riders throughout the day. Come on your own or bring 3 friends along with you on your experience day.

We use the Honda Montessa 4 stroke trials bikes for our schools and they are always less than 6 months old.

We meet at 9.30am where Stuart will get you kitted out and introduce you to your bikes. Stuart will then assess your riding and get you used to the bikes before introducing you to more technical sections throughout the day.

After lunch you will find your confidence has grown. Stuart will then introduce some fun and games in the form of a trials competition.  Once you have been taught the rules you will be introduced to several sections which you will have to complete timed and without putting your foot down! Great fun!! This is what trials is all about. Everyone will go home with their score card as a momentum of the day.

Price will be reduced accordingly). Your riding ability will then be assessed and the day will be mapped out according to your requirements.
Lunch will be provided around 1pm and this will be an opportunity to sit down with Paul and discuss your progress.
The afternoon will then be more riding and a chance to try out your new skills.
Although it will be a challenging day, we strongly believes that if you’re not smiling then you’re doing something wrong!!

AGENDA

We will meet at 9.00am for breakfast before going up to the woods for a safety briefing. Mick will then introduce you to your bikes and talk you through some of the basics of off road riding. Once you have been kitted out in all your safety gear we will head off on to the tracks. Throughout the day you will be given the opportunity to ride various types of terrain including mud, gravel, ruts, grass, rocks and hills!! This will all be under the watchful eye of Mick Extance and his team, who will guide you through and give you a few tips along the way. Your confidence will grow throughout the day and you may just surprise yourself with your new found skills! We will then stop back at base camp for some lunch and a well earned rest.
After lunch you will enjoy some more riding and possibly some fun and games to keep you on your toes! We will take photos for you throughout the day and prints can be ordered at the end.

The day will loosely finish at around 3.30pm

Mick will then talk you through some basic off road riding techniques and introduce you to the track. The best way of getting the feel of off roading is to ride it so the rest of the morning will be spent doing just that. Our team will be on hand to guide you every step of the way. By lunchtime you will be well and truly ready for your burger and brew!
After lunch the fun steps up a level and you can really push yourself to your limits with your new found skills. You may just surprise yourself This is a great photo opportunity so don’t forget your cameras!!

Morocco is certainly Europe’s nearest African neighbour with glimpses of settlement and traffic clearly visible across the Straights of Gilbraltar. Yet Morocco is very different.  In it’s 700,000 sq. km there are long sandy beaches some of which we ride on our Moutain/Desert/Coast trip, towering snow capped moutains with ski resorts, expanses of barren desert for the intrepid traveller, ancient cave drawings and striking Roman ruins for the historian.  Along with crowded weekly markets, ancient dwellings, primitive argriculture and quaint mud built houses (ksour). There is the pink Morocco of the spring almond blossom, the green Morocco of the olive tree plantations and the fertile valleys, the creamy white dwellings and the deep black Morocco of a Saharan night. The senses record the mixed spices of the souq, the smell of mint tea and donkeys linger in the air, the tast of tagine and the sound of the mosques calling the faithful to prayer.

MOROCCO IS NOT A PLACE TO LOOK AT, IT IS A COUNTRY TO BE ABSORBED!

From the agrigultural land in between Fez and Tangier, to the Atlas Mountains, which carve the country in tow and then down to the sahara desert which flows into the Atantic ocean, Morocco’s terrain is one of the most diversified and adventurous in the world.

We will be teaming up with Protrax who will be providing our back up support on our expadition. Protrax will also be guiding a convoy of Land Rovers.  The bikes will head off first, closely followed by the Land Rovers. We will meet up in the evenings at our designated locations. This along with Mick Extance leading and following the “Dakar Highway” in parts will make this an experience you will find hard to forget and the closest most of us will get to having the real Dakar experience!!

You will fly to Fez where we will meet you at the airport and take you to your first camp. This is where you will be introduced to your bikes and you can stock up on food supplies for your journey. We will have collected and brought your camping gear over in advance so your tent will be set up ready for you.  Food, camping equipment and baggage will be packed in our truck and taken to the next destination for you every day. This will leave you free to ride with no extra weight.

This trip is not for the faint hearted as you will be expected to camp and cook your own food every day after a long days riding. However, there will be options in some instances to take a local hotel. This will be up to you on the day and will be at additional cost.

We travel to Imichil, over the Atlas Mountains to and through Todra Gorge. Then over the lower Atlas to Zagora via Knob, a late start in Zagora sees us follow the “Dakar Highway” and the Algerian border on our way to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbie dunes where we stay for 2 nights ensuring a chance to ride deep into the biggest dunes in Morocco.  This is a great opportunity to get some training from Mick on navigating and riding dunes. From Mazouga we head to Fez via Midelt and Rich, once in Fes you have a change to relax in luxury or take time to stroll through the world heritage site which is the Fes Medina..an amazing experience.

We run 2 Morocco trips, the one described plus one that from Zagora heads down to Mahmid and follows the Dakar Highway this time to Foum Zguid, Tata and down towards Tan Tan where we turn right onto the Altantic highway, this is 2-3 days riding coastal roads, camping on beaches and driving along the Altantic shoreline before heading norht via the Tazi n Tiznet pass inot Marrakesh….This is the Moutain/Desert/Coast Safari.

All routes are suitable for Novice riders. Accommodation is down to you. You choose to camp the whole trip (all camp fees in Morocco included) or hotels or a mixture of both.

There will be 10 people on each expedition and both will be lead by Mick Extance and his team.  There will be a mechanic, a sweeper (to assist you on route) and a designated Land Rover for back up along the way.

The cost of each trip will be £1650 excluding flights. Included in the trip will be Camping, CRF250 or CRF450, Fuel, guide vehicle and 1 night at the Nomad Palace Berber camp in Mazouga on a D, B&B basis.
